Knit With Me: Cutting Apart My Socks & Setting Up the Bind Off

This project took an interesting turn! In my latest Knit With Me video, I’m cutting apart my conjoined sock twins and setting them up for the bind off—the hard way. I should have added the needles first, but where’s the fun in that? sweat_smile

If you love real-time, unedited knitting videos with chill music, grab your WIP and join me for a relaxing (and slightly chaotic) session.

Finished my first toe-up heel flap and gusset. grin

02-28-2025

Worked 55 rds on foot to add 2” of length

Aside from length of foot, everything else is worked as written in the pattern for the 64 stitch size. Love the fit on these! heart_eyes

Didn’t completely finish in time for the qualifier since mom had the flu, submitting as a cheerleader this year.

Separated socks… really wish i would have put the stitches on needles before detaching them from each other. What a mess. sweat_smile

Finished binding off both socks using yellow. I knit one round with the yellow then worked an Icelandic Bind Off because it’s stretchy enough for me and i like the way it looks better than Jenny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. (Less of a flare when not being worn.)

Using the Legacy Lace held double throughout to achieve fingering weight. Stroll is held as one strand.
