I am going to use the handspun leftover from a commission I had over 10 years ago.

It was spun full woolen from merino rolags. It is two ply.

I’ve got a large ball for warp. It has been cut into pieces and knotted back together.

There is a smaller ball that looks about right for weft.

My goal is to use these both to make a simple scarf.

Warp

Using the larger of the 2 skeins as warp.

It has 79 * 2 = 158 yards in it.

3 yards long * 5 = 15 yds per 1” of warp.
10” wide max.

I made the warp 94” long and 12” wide. There was a bit of warp yarn leftover.

Wound it on. Threaded the heddles.

Wove lots.

3/25/2021

Finished weaving.
Finished in ends.
Twisted fringes.
Washed.

3/26/2021

Cut ends.
Ironed and photographed.

I am always amazed by the fact that I can weave a something useful in 3 days.

I may keep this for myself. It is snugly and perfectly imperfect.
