05.02.2017: Finished the last seam and blocked the lace. I am delighted! Pictures follow as soon as possible.
24.01.2017: First shoulder strap and front lace are finished and sewn on. I am on the 2nd shoulder steap now. As my needles for the straps are finer (1.5 mm), I knitted 48 repeats to aim for the right length.
19.01.2017: Back is finished. Started the lace for the arm trim and started the front. Realised, that with this yarn and stitch combination (garter stitch) it is very easy to have a different gauge. It all depends on the speed I am knitting. I had to redo the beginning of the front twice, as the tension was very loose. No I am back to mindful knitting and the tension is alright.
15.01.2017: Decided to stay with needles 2.75. Started armscye shaping on the back.
13.01.2017: CO with turbular cast on + 2 rows in 1k 1p.
Then 10 rows in garter stitch.
I am not sure if I switch to needle size 3, as my gauge is a bit off - meaning bigger.
My yarnwinder broke, so I’ve had to roll a ball. Feels like a voyage back in time
