F-I-N-I-SH-E-D!
Right at the beginning of 2017 I managed to finished the shawl. Let the “Lebensglück” begin!
The shawl measures 54cm x 180cm.

We have very stormy weather right now. So I cannot take the pictures as I planned….. Anyway I am very proud and satisfied I have had the stamina to make it come true.

Ha! It has stopped raining for a moment or two. I take the pictures as planned. Cloudy sky, but the green shows perfectly!

My 1st entry in revelry in 2017!
I finished the knitting part of my “Lebensglück”. Finally! I am quite proud of my discipline. The shawl has the perfect length and I used all my yarn! Yeah!
The finishing section seemed to be tricky, as I ended with a right bending curve. But inverting the instructions was the clue. So yes, it was easy.
Now to the finishing. I will make short tassels for either end of the shawl….

Well it seams as if I have not had enough pool time or travel time. End of the year and I am still on it. The acquired length so far is 100 cm. I want to have it at least at 180cm length. The yarn will be sufficient, as I knit in all green sea silks I have in my stash.
As I said, the pattern is easy to memorise. This is why after a length of round about 80 cm it starts to be a bit boring.

15.06.2016:
First I thought I would make a top or a shift dress. After some trials I decided for the shawl. The yarn is too shiny for my likings to wear as top or dress. The stitch pattern would look great in a shift dress, though.
The pattern is very easy, once you understand the overall concept. I even knit back after just 1pattern repeat!
This is the perfect project for a trip or at the pool.
