→ J’ai récemment commencé à utiliser des shampooings solides. Il me fallait donc un petit sac pour ranger celui que j’utilise dans la douche. J’ai choisi de le faire en coton non mercerisé car c’est plus hygiénique et le point filet permet au pain de savon de bien sécher.

→ Pour créer le sac, j’ai commencé par un cercle magique de 6 mailles serrées puis j’ai fait le point filet en augmentant sur les premiers rangs. Une fois le sac terminé, j’ai fait une petite cordelette de mailles en l’air pour pouvoir le fermer. J’en ai crocheté une seconde directement sur le haut du sac pour avoir une “poignée” qui me permettra de le nouer à la barre de mon porte-savon dans la douche.

→ Le petit sac filet vide et à plat mesure environ 7,5cm de large sur 6cm de haut (sans la cordelette d’attache).

→ Après quelques mois d’utilisation, le sac filet rempli bien son office ! Cependant, le shampooing a tendance à déteindre sur le fil et celui-ci n’est plus vraiment blanc…

→ Edit Novembre 2023 : Pendant plusieurs années, j’ai essayé diverses marques de shampooing solide et aucunes ne me convenaient. J’ai alors retiré puis lavé le sac filet devenu vert/bleu. Aujourd’hui, il est redevenu tout blanc et je lui ai trouvé un nouvel usage : un sac de rangement pour dés à jouer ! Il peut contenir une dizaine de dés et est pratique et assez petit pour pouvoir être ranger avec les jeux de sociétés.

→ I recently started using solid shampoos. So I needed a little bag to store the one I use in the shower. I chose to make it in unmercerized cotton because it’s more hygienic and the diamond mesh stitch allows the soap bar to dry well.

→ To create the bag, I started with a magic circle of 6 single crochet, then did the mesh stitch, increasing on the first few rows. Once the bag was completed, I made a small chain cord to close it. I crocheted a second one directly on the top of the bag to create a “handle” for attaching it to the bar of my soap dish in the shower.

→ The empty, flat mesh bag measures approximately 7,5cm (3”) wide by 6cm (2.4”) high (without the tie string).

→ After a few months’ use, the mesh bag has served its purpose well ! However, the shampoo has a tendency to run off the thread and it’s not really white anymore…

→ Edit November 2023 : For several years, I tried various brands of solid shampoo and none of them worked for me. I then removed and washed the mesh bag, which had turned green/blue. Today, it’s all white again and I’ve found a new use for it : a storage bag for playing dice ! It holds around ten dice and is practical and small enough to be stored with board games.
