Aargh - I was 2/3 of the way through the first sock when I had to rip back to the ribbing. I didn’t like the decreases (every 3 rows), the dark purple stripe and using US size 1.

Second time: switched to US size 1½, cut out the dark purple and decreased every 4 rows.
