I’ve finished luceting one large ball of this yummy yarn. Now I’m going to try and sew it into an oval rug, instead of making a fat-cord.

I did all the sewing from yesterday. I wasn’t happy with the look of the yarn I was using to sew with, and it was slightly difficult due to the thickness and fuzziness.

I’m using Caron Simply Soft in a dark blue/navy color instead, and it’s working much better. It’s smooth, thinner, and hides within the fluffiness of the chenille yarn.

I wasn’t liking the curl of the rug, so after asking on the wonderful luceters’ board, I undid a few rounds. I’ve been trying to add some ease, or increases, to each new round as I sew. Now it’s laying much flatter, with only the last round curling slightly.

Finally got it finished! I had to take a break from the sewing for about a week, but now it’s done

I’ll wash and dry it tonight, and see if I can ‘block’ some extra flatness into it.

It’s done, washed/dried, and lays pretty flat. In all, I’m happy with the result
