A word from the wise: Do not use acrylic yarn for this pattern! I steam blocked it, tried to melt the yarn into staying unbunched, but it did not work. The entire thing contracts to be the size of a towel.

Overall I really like how it came out, but it would have been even better had I been able to block it properly.

• Slip first st purlwise wyif
• Use 1 size smaller needle for top and bottom borders

2/10/19 Even though a lot of people seemed to have to reverse the ribbing after the second set of cables, I didn’t run into that problem…not sure what sort of sorcery is going on there, but mine worked out just fine.

2/12/19 I didn’t realize how important blocking was to this blanket, and I bought acrylic yarn, nooo! Hoping I can steam block it so it stretches out because it’s definitely not looking very wide.
