Using two different skeins of this self striping yarn. The only color they have in common is black. Switching whenever it felt right, I carried the unused yarn along the sides. I’m glad I did because though this yarn works up nicely in crochet, I had to be careful when sewing in the ends because the most worn yarn tail was so loosely spun by the time I was done that it almost broke off as I was sewing.

About 400 yards made a better triangle scarf than shawl. I’m really pleased with it and don’t think blocking is going to be necessary.

The progress picture shows more of the variation in the darker sections. There are black, blue, navy, and dark purple stripes that are hard to make out in the other photos. Edited: ok now the top photo shows some actual color in the dark rows!
