Knitting it in the round as opposed to straight because I’m too lazy to sew…

Also, did the ribbing portion on US9 instead of US10 to make sure that it’s tight enough to stay on.

Found out that there’s a huge gap of just stockinette if I follow the pattern but on circular needles, added 6 more stitches and am working the cable rows as follows:

K1 C12B repeat
K
K
K
K7 C12F K1 repeat , when there are 6 st left, C12F using the first 6 st of the next row

This should make the cable pattern match up on circulars
