Myself and recipient very senstitive to wool, so used chenille. Also changed up head/tail to match her artwork and more like the sheep she fell in love with in Ireland. Next time I would draft-attach head/tail and stuff before “finishing” off. Once stuffed, I’d have preferred the head/tail switched based on my head modifications and wanting it to have a bubble butt.

Added buttons for the belly seam so it can be opened and then washed if needed. I used a zippered king size pillowcase inside to keep stuffing together and easier to wash. It was a battle to get it in and shaped, but I’d do it again!

For body used double-held Bernat Baby Blanet (chenille) and US15 knitting needles and tried to be a tighter knitter so bobble gaps were not too large. It was a hand workout! Bobbles are fun (learn how to ‘knit backwards’ (a purl from the right side going left) to avoid the constant flipping…which…got heavy very soon.

Made my own crochet amigurumi style “rounded triangle head” and stuffed with some of the same black chenille yarn, which let it be ‘moldable and squishy’. LOVED THE PATTERN EARS! (sized them to look how I wanted). Added “loop stitch” knitting “hairband” between the ears/top of head and a “loop stitch” knitting tail. So fun!
