Notes

Thanks for the pattern! He came out splendid! I used a “jogless stripe” technique which helps the color change, and then still hid that portion (belly patch covered front, under tailside, under arm side, inside leg side)…though I messed up his body on the first color change (which you can see). I made his white body patch larger by 2 rows and made his head taller. Next time I’ll have 2 rows of orange in between the head stripes. I also used 9sc row for the black lines on the top of his head, and then flattened his ears to be less pointy. I also used safety eyes. I stitched on his ears/head stripes prior to starting to decrease the head to hide all the stitching inside his head and not do it blind. For his arms/legs/tail I added a row of black SC even, then a row of invisible descrease all around. That made them close up a little bit more to stitch on easier and make bendy at the joints.

Everyone LOVES him and I have 2 requests for Hobbes already from the shower. The only cost is the cost of the yarn/eyes. Next time I will use Red Heart Eco Ways b/c it crochets up softer than Red Heart soft.
