I’m not sure of the amount of yarn used. All I know is that this entire project won’t use up a skein but only parts of one.
The Gold Glitter Stocking is a base for this pattern, I worked out how to make it bigger. In picture 2, you’ll see mini stockings that I make for Operation Holiday stocking compared to the bigger pattern. I’m not sure if I can claim the bigger one as my own since it does borrow heavily from Ms. Sullivan’s work.
The Blue Stocking is Nephew #1, and I made this last year (2013) on the 23rd and the 24th of December. I asked him what color he’d like for his stocking, and wanted blue. :) While growing up in my care, he would love to take the yarn out of my bag and shout out the color, LOL. I was working on the Rainbow Angle Quilt, so he had quite a few colors to learn and play with. :)
The Green Stocking is for Nephew #2, and since he has yet to say another other than Ma-ma and Da-da. I picked the color for him. :) This stocking was started on December 20th while the family was in Leavenworth, Wa, sightseeing. And finished the next night on the 21st. :)
The Red One is for my Brother-In-Law. I’m sorry to say it only crossed my mind so late, but better late than never. It was made on the 24th, in only 2 hours. :)
I adore this pattern, but the bigger one took a while because I was working on making this last year for Nephew #1. I did in fact write down what I did. Only after searching for a month for that same pattern for Nephew #2…I couldn’t find it. This year, I wrote it down again and hopefully it will stay in my files.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! :)
