I love this shawl, its that simple. While it does have some complication, the chart HELPS A LOT! But honestly, I recommend this to anyone who likes to wear or make shawls. I think I’ll even make one for myself even though I don’t know where I’d wear it. :) While going through my Mom’s yarn stash I found these four skeins of Bernat Mosaic…they were the ones that I bought her on a whim thinking she’d like the name Strange Magic.

And since it holds her favorite color red and one of mine purple, it seemed a good mesh of us both. I thought to make a shawl out of this for her sister. But since she has three others, and one sister can’t have something without the others wanting one too, I’m an older sister myself. I made some for the rest. I dug around and found these colors in Caron Simply Soft. Another favorite yarn of hers. It makes for a great project for break time or lunch. Now comes the hard part, letting it go…

8-27-15 I needed something for the fair, and since I’m still clinging to it…I entered it in the Evergreen State Fair. It won a blue ribbon and I’d like to think Mom would’ve approved. :’)
