Had fun experimenting with mirror-image interlaced buckle braids. Closing them in 9 little arches at the top made shaping kinda fun. I deliberately made up a mathematically complex design for Elliot because he’s into science and math, I hope he likes it! I will probably never share this as a pattern because, although I had lots of fun designing and making it (you can see on the chart scribbles where I changed my mind mid-stream on one of the central motifs), it bends a few rules and knitters would probably go ‘what the whaaaa!@#$? trying to interpret my directions, so I think it will remain a one-off for the sake of knitter sanity.

I may take a stab at a less twisty/windey more standard technique version and post it as a feebie one of these days, hmmmmm….
