Notes

Elliot designed his own stocking & chose his shade combinations too (except for the rainbow pointy things with bells on, that was me)

I love his fun curly name font, we copied it from the very fancy style he came up with on the cover of his journal. I’m going to try to adapt it for his little brother’s stockings too (hope I get ‘em all done before the big day… with a little luck)

I wanted to incorporate hearts somehow to show how much he is loved but I know that someday soon that will look wayyyy not cool & too ‘girl-y’ so I held back… (he’s almost 9 & I really don’t want to embarrass him!)

16 Dec- Elliot’s is done, he didn’t give me much feedback on what he wanted on the foot part except to say he wanted the solid teal for the heel & the pumpkin-y shade for the toe (hmmm, showing early signs of a natural inclination for complimentary colour theory…) so I drafted a smaller version of the snow chart & flanked it with colour points to relect the flags on top- I hope he likes it!

(this is sorta HUGE btw- 23” circumference x 32” Long , so the other 2 will have to be big as well) Now on to Liam’s…

1 week after the big day: Elliot seemed to like his new stocking but I get the feeling he wishes it was a bit bigger (room for more loot of course)- even though it’s 3 times the size of the one he used to have!
