For experienced knitters in cable/texture stitches and good chart readers.
This vest features mirror-image symmetry on cable and crossed sts and a coordinating centered cable design variation on the back that coordinates with the directional cables on the front.
Vest is worked flat in one piece, from the bottom of the welt to the start of armhole shaping, then divides at armholes & finished in 3 sections. It begins with a 4(5,6) repeat-deep ‘Tree of life’ welt which, with careful placement of increases during set-up, flows naturally into the cable & twisted rib vertical motifs above it.
