For Elliot’s 9th birthday I asked him to design his own hat (& incidentally just in time for hat day at his school),
I just whip-stitched the spikes & blades to the basic ear-flap hat in the ‘stegasauresque’ way he asked me to. Elliot chose the shades, size & placement of the spikes…

(LOVE his sense of colour but he told me he just picked whatever markers he grabbed out of the marker box, so I guess it wasn’t a carefully thought out scheme on his part, it just looks that way…)
