Notes

I’m holding the yarn double for extra warmth and softness.

This turned out exactly they way I wanted. It’s super cozy, thanks to the Kidsilk Haze, which does also mute the stitch definition a little, making for a softer look. This is going to be a really hard hat to let go of, which clearly means I’ll have to knit a second one for myself.

I’m surprised by how much the colour of the Kidsilk Haze asserted itself. Despite being very fine, it is definitely the dominant colour.

This was my first real pompom (crazy, right?). I used a Clover pompom maker (2.5 inches) and then blocked it separately from the hat. I hung it from the towel rod to dry, and then used my hair dryer to fluff it up/finish drying it. I love how plump it is.
