Notes

I’ve had this yarn in stash for probably 15 years. I’m SOOO glad to have found the perfect pattern for it!!

Down past the sleeves. I cast on 5 stitches under each arm so that I could squeeze in another repeat of lace on each side, front and back (4 additional repeats total).

Added 3 inches to sleeves and bound them off with the sewn invisible bind-off. LOVE the result. I will probably do Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy for the bottom. Oh, adding a couple of inches there too.

I haven’t fully finished this because…… AFTER completely finishing and binding off the sleeves, I noticed that somehow I had knitted one about 1.5 inches longer than the other (or one 1.5 shorter, depending on how you look at it ;-) I like the fit of the longer one, so I need to fix the shorter one (I have enough yarn left to do so). It’s just so tedious to do this last fix…. wicked procrastination! I think I’m going to snip off the sewn bindoff rather than trying to frog it, and then pick up the first full set of live stitches.

This is so silly. I’ve never done this to sleeves! (that said, I generally knit traditionally-constructed bottom-up sweaters, so I always knit both sleeves at the same time)
