Another great Norah Gaughan’s design.
When I started on the back, found a mistake in pattern. The first rapport in the back (1-16 rows) should be knitted three times, not one as charted in the booklet. Sadly… half of the back was done and I was forced to start again. Booklet was just published, so I immediately reported it to Norah and the correction later was announced in the Berroco website. So check out errata before casting on.
Modifications:
- Back was made slightly different. Wanted to have the beautiful A-line shape so I worked rows 1-16 of chart E three times as intended, rows 17-30 two times, rows 31-42 two times, rows 43-52 two times, rows 53-60 two times (11th picture).
- Did not like the neck and button band connection, so made the angle with some short rows (the last 2 pictures).
- Button band and neck band are knitted-in rather than sewn.
My tip:
- Front sides do not have the flare so better leave some bottom buttons opened (7th and 9th picture).
I’m very happy with the result and wear it a lot.
