Notes

made two of these full body suits for a performance at mobius :: Spiritual Kingdom :: inspired by the writings of Philip K. Dick and specificially “Exegesis” :: One suit was made with two yarns (one a wool blend) and the other using acrylic in case one of the performers had problems wearing wool :: it took several months to make each suit (especially since I was making up the design as I went along) -- the main body of the suit was made without any seams sewn in - knit from the top down. the head was knit seperately. There is one zipper down the back of each suit. The head attaches using velcro all the way around (we decided to do it this way so the head could be easily removed by the performer in case the performer got claustrophobic during the performance. Thankfully, we peformed 10 minutes at a time with a short break between each performance.

Inspiration for the suit (last 3 photos shown here):

  1. Wilfred (tv series)
  2. Can’t find original webpage where I first saw this but here’s a pininterest link: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/48343395973760435/
