Notes

Making this for the local Crochet & Knitting group - the Skyline Lake Hookers. They are working on donations for the local hospital Valley Hospital. Figure this will make a great baby blanket as it is washable.

The kit was super reasonable. And the acrylic makes it easy to wash & dry without a problem.

Got two kits. When I make the second kit, I think I will go up to a size 9 needle. I am finding the fabric is a bit stiff on 8s. I get that you don’t want baby fingers poking through. But you also don’t want stiff.

Think I can work on this during the group meetings. It is all knit & purls. And the pattern is easy to memorize. Think it is a great charity knit.

On skein 7. Repeat started with 52 gms.

Only half way through the repeat & only had 28 gms. Ripped back the repeat & started the edging.

Finished. So glad I woven in ends earlier as I only have a few to weave in. I forget exactly when I completed it.

Memo to Myself…

Blankets take a LLLOOONNNNGGG time. Even with a worsted yarn.

Beautiful piece. And surprisingly soft for acrylic. Love the color. But not sure if it is too big for a baby blanket! Might be a lap blanket instead. It is going to charity. So they can figure out what makes sense!

Size

It measures 47” x 41”. It could be a lap blanket size. It is pretty sizeable. I really like the size.
