A personal note
I couldn’t have been able to knit this CickHen without using the excellent video of The Knitting Tree.

Le Poulette ChickHen is finished.
After knitting the underside the next step was sewing a part of the body and the feathers together.
When I had sewn one side of the underside on the body my underside piece wasn’t’t long enough.
After carefully counting it seemed I was missing ridges (5 so 10 rows).
So after carefully unpicking and unraveling the top of the underside I knitting the missing ridges to the center section.
Stuffing Le Poulette ChickHen was so much fun seeing her come alive slowly while she was getting shape.
She looks amazing and I’me very pleased with my companion.

Body is finished.
- I didn’t follow the pattern when I had to add the ruffle but added it when I finished the beak.
- Adding the comb was also something I changed too. I wanted to avoid the sewing on so after a night sleep I came up with this idea. I pulled a piece of yarn through the knitting to the back and picked up 10 loops. Then knitted the comb as written in the instructions.
- I didn’t like the outcome of the described waffle so I knitted it different in a different maner. Started with one stitch, turned KFB in first stitch, turned KFB in both stitched, turned knitted all four stitches, turned K2tog and SSK, turend K2tog and SSK, turned K2tog, knitted two rows. Used this this stitch to make the second waffle too.
I used two copper buttons for the eyes instead of the recommend safety eyes.

Feather and a part of the body are done. Pretty happy with the result.
Knitting with double yarn isn’t easy while doing W&T, BO or crochet cast on.
