I needed a rug for the area in front of my sliding glass door and I had a ton of old t-shirts that needed to be thrown away or used. This is what I came up with. The idea came from this picture tutorial: http://www.usefuldiy.com/diy-old-t-shirt-crochet-rug/. I really like how it came out even if there are a few wonky parts.
