2/11/18 I tied off the ends, so it’s done! I asked my daughter to put something in the bag so I could take a picture of it in use. She put one of her babies in it! Not exactly what I had in mind, but okay. I will get a better pic of it in action soon. It seems strong and sturdy, so it could probably handle some serious grocies.

2/10/18 This worked up quickly! I really like how it turned out. I followed some mods found on other project pages: I continued working the base until I had 108 stitches, did a purl row, then 4 rows straight stockinette. I did the top band and handles in linen stitch. I made two handles instead of one.

To do the handles, I basically made two giant buttonholes a la this video. I (worked 17, cast off 20, then cast on 40 in the other direction, worked 17) twice around, all in linen stitch. Then I worked 8 or 9 more rows in linen stitch and cast off.

I used all the orange yarn and all but 1 gm of the red. I think I won this round of yarn chicken!
