Here’s my first shawl for the 10 shawls in 2010 KAL, and the final completed knit for Malabrigo March. Only change I made to the pattern was the bind off--I bound off loosely in 2x2 rib.

Before blocking my shawl measured 50” across top and 23” deep. I knit the garter stitch portion for 19 1/4” before knitting the 1x1 rib for 1”. I completed 2 3/4” of 2x2 rib before running out of yarn.

My final post blocking size is 53” across and 30” deep. Next time I knit this pattern I’ll start the ribbed parts about half way through my yardage. It really eats up the yarn! blogged
