Notes

I had an ugly oval shaped pet bed that I purchased at Petsmart and wanted to make a slipcover for it to blend better in my decor. The brand was “Top Paw” I believe.

My Notes;
Started with 126 chains.
I did 21 cable rows to cover inside and outside of bed.

For the inside center part, I crocheted a granny stitched round shape to attach to the cables all around the sides of the inside.

Row 1: ch 4, slip stitch into the first ch, chain up 3 (counts as 1 dc)
2dc, ch1* to equal 12 dc all together.
Row 2: 2dc, ch1, 2dc *
Row 3: 3dc, ch1* all around.
Row 4: 3dc, ch1, 3dc in each ch1 space all around = 96 stitches around.
Row 5: 2dc, ch1 into each ch 1 space all around.
Row 6: 3dc, ch1 into each ch 1 space all around.
Row 7: 3dc, ch1 all around.
Joined with sc all around to the Cable Panel.

To get the slipcover to wrap and fit snug around the bottom, I decreased every 4 stitches all around a few rows.

I used a quality medium firm round pillow form that I purchased from Joann’s Craft store and covered it with a simple standard size pillowcase. So the pillow case cover can be taken off and washed.

Bernat Blanket super bulky yarn is very soft and thick. the kitty loves it !
