I swatched with a chunkier DK and it worked well on size 6.0mm, so I’m currently dyeing the bare yarn in a tonal teal color and I’m so excited!

I CO as soon as my yarn was dry. Chinese waitress CO. I was able to knit 7” today, however, I will be knitting 14” before splitting. Halfway there! I’m hoping to be finished in just a few days.

I split for the front after 13”. I have a long torso, and 13 inches from under my arm is right at my belly button.

After knitting WestKnits Brioncho (my first project knitting brioche flat), I realized that my knitting is looser flat than in the round. To compensate for this, I went down to a size 9 needle for the front and back pieces and I’m happy I did. My tension is exactly the same so thank goodness.

I was able to knit the entire front panel and 6 rows of the back panel today!

I just joined the shoulders. I have 9.2 grams of the mohair left so I’m going to knit the 1st sleeve until 4.6 grams remains for the 2nd sleeve. Fingers crossed that they are at least elbow length!

I just have to weave in ends and block. I ended up adding 26 rounds of twisted rib on size 8s to the sleeves to make them the length I wanted. I started with one full and one partial ball of mohair so I’m not mad about it.
