Thanks to Magdelta I used my Embellish Knit! crank icord maker to make a length of icord using the MC. I then picked up every other stitch on the icord for 84 sts. I then pushed it back to the other end of the needle and did a sl1yo, p across with the CC before joining in the round and doing the two set up rows of the pattern. I will use an icord BO to match.

01-31-2021

I’m just starting round 83B. I’ve joined new hanks of both the bare and hand dyed yarns. The hand dyed yarns are similar, but not the same, so I did fade them into each other. I’ve knit this straight for 3 days on my Chiaogoo Red Laces, and my pointer finger on my right hand is suffering from all the pointy pushes, I’ve started wearing a bandaid so I can get this finished.

I’m in the home stretch now, and hope to be finished today. I plan on making a hat and mitts out of the scraps so I can have a beautiful set to go out in the frigid NE temps we’ve been having!
