I’m planning on knitting the drawstring neck version.
-- Started knitting on 5.5mm needles, changed to 4mm needles where instructed to change to smaller diameter needles, then changed to 3.75mm needles for the ribbing.
-- Alternated skeins through out. These dye lots that don’t match will be the death of me.
-- Skein change at edging when knitting flat and on the side when knitting in the round.
-- Twisted cord…love it! Hard to do by yourself when it’s super long!
-- p/u 125 sts for neck
-- I’m not a fan of the sewn bind off so I used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy bind off.
-- Gauge: 17.5 sts x 25 rows
01/31/13 - Made it! It’s off the needles!
01/30/13 - I’ve got one sleeve done! I cannot finish this fast enough. I can’t wait to wear it, I love it so much already! I’ve got a lot of knitting ahead of me tomorrow if I want this off the needles by Feb 1.
01/29/13 - I have 3 of the 6 sleeve decreases done on the first sleeve. Gah! I am bound and determined to cast off before Feb 1.
1/27/13 - Finished the neck…it’s huge! I might have picked up too many sts. I’m hoping the drawstring will reign it in. :-)
01/26/13 - I’m about half way thru the ribbing. This has been the slowest part of the pattern, so far. I will be able to finish the whole body of the sweater with just 2 skeins.
01/25/13 - I just finished the waist decreases and tried it on. Gah!!! I love it!!!! Can’t wait to see how the rest of it turns out!
01/23/13 - Had a little set back but I’m back on track. I just starting the waist decreases.
