Notes

I would like it to be bigger than pattern’s 28” wide so I’ll try chaining 120. Also I’m mixing yarns but I think they coordinate nicely and the colors are just what I wanted. My roommate helped me with stripe patterns.

6/3: The yarn differences are manageable so far, but the cotton-ease strands seem to separate the most during the project, and green is smaller than I expected, but doable.

7/5: NOTE: I took like a minimum 17 day hiatus for a mission trip including preceding packing/errands and proceeding unpacking/errands, so the time I actually worked on this is no longer gonna be an accurate representation :-( trip was TOTALLY worth it though - built a porch with wheelchair ramp in central Pennsylvania with high schoolers :-D

7/17: finished the body tonight! and began the hood. MUST finish by the 22nd as that is now our small group’s surprise baby shower when I’ll present it. I’m VERY excited to update here as I can’t yet on Facebook cuz the parents will find out my surprise gift. This will be my first completed blanket as I put my personal afghan (zig zag) on hold to do this project. :-D

7/20: finished hood and attached on one side with edging, continued edging. Only 1/8 of edging left to complete tomorrow, then wrap, and present the day after next!

7/21: DONE!! Love this pattern! SO glad I went with stripes. The pattern I made worked out to almost square when completed too, 4 stripe rounds (ends had no buttery cream since I knew the edging would supply that).
