Araucania Ruca is a very soft, smooth, and slippery sugar cane yarn. It’s beautiful to work with, but doesn’t hold the sts very well. After working on a few design ideas, I realized that my natural preference of subtle differences in sts in one design won’t work here very well. Here is the result, a beautiful shawl with a great drape.

Size before blocking:
Wingspan 41” x spine 21” (104 cm x 53.5 cm)

Size after blocking:
Wingspan 59.25” x 25.50” (150 cm x 65 cm)
