mods: I didn’t knit the rounded hem, just finished when it was as long as I wanted and knit an attached icord (after casting off first, as per instructions). for the neckline, I picked up stitches w/ a 2mm needle on the reverse side after casting off and knit a few rows of stockinette, hoping for it to roll over and match the rolled hems of the sleeves (where I did nothing but stockinette until cast off). It worked on the unwashed knit, but now that it’s washed & blocked I have a (lovely!!) sort of “double” neckline, because my extra bit of 2mm stockinette stands up instead of rolling: both the cast off edges are showing, one above the other. I uploaded a close-up of this; I love it.

But my knitting weakness strikes again: the two sleeves are different despite my best efforts (one is both longer and wider than the other. I like the second, tighter sleeve better). Also, ignore the little bit of red fluff on my collar in the first pic! I dunno how it alighted there but it was temporary.

I knit this with reclaimed yarn from a commercial pullover I unraveled, and I did not wash the yarn before knitting, so as a result of knitting with frizzy yarn, this sweater grew a bit in the wash. So the splendid shoulders (I love this construction) that fit so well as I knit are now a little too loose, sadly. But I love it and love wearing it so much!
