I am using my sock yarn leftovers, doublestranded.
It is so much fun to knit the patches. If I will ever sew them together…. no idea!
I was so fascinated by the blankets wumbs and britta are producing….

remark on choosing the colours
Well, first I started without a lot of thinking about the leftovers and how I mixed them up. And this can cause patches which look quite “unorganised”. So, what I did is…
I had two strands of reddish sock yarn. Than I cut one of them and took a purple one to the remaining red one. After a couple of rows I cut the red yarn and took a second strand of the purple on (or another purple strand)…. so you see my point? Doing this I got smooth transitions between the colors when you look to one patch and I have quite sharp stripes as well which makes those patterns looking good in the full afghan.
