I learned a lot about ladder back Jacquard with this project. In the past, I would use this technique on the fly whenever there were many stitches of the same color.

However, this time I made a conscious decision to evenly distribute the ladder stitches throughout the repeat, regardless of the color changes. This approach resulted in a much cleaner outcome, and I am happy with it.

The earwarmers turned out slightly wider than expected, but I hope my daughter will still enjoy wearing them!
