Notes

My favorite newborn hat scaled up for adults!
Two years ago I made one for my mom in a size I thought would fit, but over time we realized it just didn’t cover her ears enough. I thought I scaled up the patter to the right circumference, but the issue was I began the dome section too soon.

Here’s the scale up for adults:

Cast on 43, follow pattern
Knit for 16 rows (8 sets of the pattern) or until hat measures 18”.
You can incorporate a band of another color as the pattern describes, or just stick with the same color the whole way through.

Begin decrease section following 3-6 moth size pattern directions.

I also added an extra cast off row (instead of just stringing through the final 6 purl stiches) to make the top of the hat a bit tighter.

Add the pom pom and enjoy!
