This is the 2nd scarf I’ve knitted for my mom. She requested something for the cooler weather and in mustard yellow. With all the flavors and brands of mustard these days I couldn’t be sure what exactly she was getting at over the phone. Turns out this mustard was the mustard she was craving. She says she loves it, but she’s my mom and so this is one of her requirements of any of my crafts.

We agree the final product is so sweet and soft. It took a minute to get the hang of the pattern switch between the front and back side and which initial number stitch to slip, but after a few inches it was very simple and clear. The scarf turned out neat, not very wide, and the softness is luxurious. Why have I waited this long to try knitting something alpaca?
