You wouldn’t think you could use size 17 needles and fairly thick yarn and still knit forever and ever without making good progress, but you can if you are knitting into the stitch below. I don’t like making this pattern but love the look of it on big needles, and my daughter fell in love with this yarn from another project and commented on how nice it would be in a fisherman’s rib. She didn’t know we had more of the yarn and presto, a gift is born. We think we’re going to loop it into a cowl.
What I did:
Cast on 23 sts and k1p1 except that every knit is a knit into the row below. This is an open rib with a lot of depth, not a traditional tight fisherman knit. I first made this with a sticky Noro Kureyon worsted and loved it.
