Notes

Making this for my hubby, so I used a 2x2 tubular cast-on and skipped the whole picot bit--makes for a cleaner, manlier (and wonderfully stretchy) edge. Looking forward to learning a tubular/kitchener bind off at the other end. Found great instructions for both here.

Super annoyed to realize the pattern as written creates a one-sided scarf (using both colors for a few rows means there’s stranding on one side). So I decided to just use one color of yarn at a time, then make all the drips afterward using duplicate stitch. Also figured out that the back of each drip is a lot less visible if I thread the red through the gray bar as I work my way down, rather than going behind the bar.

My hubby has a big neck, so I kept measuring the red section on him, that section ended up being 49” to get to the length he wanted. Total scarf length about 100”. This was a big ‘un!
