I was busy with mittens: first Marco’s mittens by Nancy Bush (“Folk Knitting in Estonia”) for my husband (the mitten on the right), and then Bloom mittens by Maschas Maschen. I could not resist beautiful Riihivilla yarns, naturally dyed with madder, cochineal, and various mushrooms. Can’t even describe the softness and vitality of this yarn.
I changed the original pattern adding Kihnu Troi cast on , and utilizing a couple of Kihnu Vits (braids): love them! Now having knitted two left mittens, I am up for a right hand challenge.
