Yarn: various acrylic w/w
Modified Debbie New’s knitted Ouroborus cardigan to work as a granny-stitch pattern. By starting with a band of dcs with ch3 loops at each end -- a common way to start granny rectangle blankets -- there’s no need to seam across the back at the end. Could use single crochets to make band less obvious. Or make it bigger and bolder, more of a design element.
Could do some/all bands as solid dcs instead of granny clusters. Really any stitch pattern that works as a square could be made to work here… it’s just a center-out rectangle with delusions of grandeur. (“just” -- I say that after days of calculating and swatching and frogging…)
Alternating colors every round was a poor choice. The Ouroboros construction gets lost. Better to do wider bands or not repeat colors.
