1-29-11 - Yeah! I’m done!! I think it’s cute. Love it!
1-28-11 - I’ve got a scarf! Just adding cherries now. later sprinkles.
1-28-11 - So now both of my strings are done. Just waiting to get home and take a few pics. My students love what they see so far! :)
9:21 PM - I have a string of 7 and a string of 3, soon to be a string of 9 done. :)
1-27-11 All the bottoms are done. Now it’s time to make cupcake strings!
1-26-11 All of the tops are done and pink! I am crocheting on the bottoms which are chocolate and vanilla. Excited about the progress. Fun pattern.
1-23-11 I decided to pull this one out of hibernation after loving working with my hand-dyed kool aid wool held together with Trigo. I did that on the Slicey scarf. I still have a bunch of it left, so… Let’s keep stash-bustin’.
In the pattern, she disconnects the yarn to start the scallops on the bottom. I tried that on my first motif and realized I didn’t want to go through that again. I’ve been scalloping without disconnecting the yarn and it’s coming out fine. I am much less of a perfectionist than Twinkie Chan.
1-7-11 - I started this with my stash but it’s not working out. I’m going to hibernate this one until after the yarn fast.
PLEASE NOTE: None of the actual food pictures are mine. I don’t know how to get the copyright info off of them. I have put them here for personal use. Please check link location for credit. I slurped them from Google Images.
1-7-11 Right now I am looking through pictures of cupcakes to get some inspiration. Mine have to be made from stash, which limits me somewhat as I don’t have a ton of bulky yarn in soft colors.
I’m thinking maybe the Caron Felt-it would work…
Or the Derby…
I’m posting inspirational cupcake shots here. :)
