Another ad lib crochet success! I shaped this funny cap all by feel, working decreases around as I felt necessary. I worked Half double crochet at a tight gauge to make a firm fabric and edged in sc. The furry stuff is an off-label nylon fuzz yarn that gives the perfect finishing touch!

And I have been looking for a fabulous way to use this unique button. Now if only I could make a thousand more hats for the rest of my unique ( ahem, single) buttons!

The resulting hat fits dear Fitz to a tee and fits snuggly. The button-down umbilical top makes a practical-looking hat go to super-cute with the flick of a button! Look, a gnome in my living room!
