NOW TESTING.

This is a prototype of a new design I have been working on. This is my second, a slouchy version, of this interesting hat. Folks who like a relaxed hat without negative ease will find this design ideal.

This hat is knit sideways and uses short rows to shape the crown. The chevron stitch pattern makes the yarn colour into a wavy pattern, making this design ideal for stripey, handdyed and even really busy yarns. The overlap is the perfect spot to feature a beautibul set of buttons.

This version is in worsted, but final pattern will be written for Sport/DK.

When my best friend, Megan, came to visit, she looked so lovely in this hat that I sent it home with her. Isn’t she gorgeous?
