Making this for an angel stocking in the 2010 Worldwide Christmas Stocking Exchange. This is a big a$$ stocking.

11/1/10: I started this stocking today. I used sparkly white for the base color. It reminds me of snow. I hope to find some snowflake buttons to decorate it with. I will not be embroidering the sock after it is done. I am knitting the pattern directly into it. It makes more sense for me to do it this way.

11/6/10: This is a quick easy knit. I am so glad that I knit the pattern into the stocking. I really like it that way. I also like the Winter Frost yarn with the acrylic flecks in it. It does give the stocking a snowy look. I am pleased with how this is looking.

11/11/10: I worked the heel and the turn of the heel in red. I didn’t like the color just being cut off at the heel. This is a completely different way than I am used to for knitting socks. Stitching the gussets together instead of knitting in the round. If I do this again, I will do this in the round decreasing at the gusset. I am pleased with the look of this stocking. I co 7 stitches and garter stitched for 4 inches and then bound off. Used this to hang stocking.
