8/6/10: I had to frog these yesterday and start again today. I kept thinking that my needles looked too big, but, didn’t stop and measure. They were in the wrong envelope. Second, I noticed that the outside edges of the leaf didn’t match up. So, I frogged it. I really like this yarn and think it will look great with this pattern. I am knitting along in the Fingerless Gloves August 2010 KAL.
8/8/10: I am into the second repeat before starting the thumb gusset on the right mitt. I have decided that these will be perfect for my sister for Christmas. I am thinking about knitting the fingers to 3/4 way up her fingers.
8/11/10: I finished one glove completely this morning. It looks like I misunderstood the directions. I didn’t finish the leaf closest to the fingers. It looks like I cut it off several rows short. Also, when I joined the fingers by picking up stitches I went with extra stitches and either knitted them or purled them together so there was no gap to try to stitch closed. Worked great this way.
8/15/10: Cast on for left glove.
8/29/10: Finally finished these today.
