Notes

8/17/10: I started spinning the fiber into yarn for this today.
8/30/10: Started knitting this as a scarf today. CO 36 stitches. K 3 rows. Row 1: K5, knit pattern twice, K5. All odd rows, purl.
8/30/10: Finished knitting today. The scarf naturally folds at the decrease areas. I like it that way. It gives the scarf another “look”. I got the extras with this SAL package, the locks.
I went to desertgarden’s Camp Out and Spin In at Desert Garden. There, I was discussing this KAL with Jennifer. I told her about my need to be different. She suggested that instead of spinning the locks to use them as fringe on the cowl. I loved the idea. I changed my mind about making the cowl and modified this as a scarf. I kept the lock fringe idea though. I added that to the ends of the scarf. I really like it.
48 inches in length and 7.5 inches wide. When folded into thirds as it naturally goes, it is 3.25 inches wide.

Sent this off to maryootsy. She needed a winter hug!
