Didn’t bother to swatch (I’m really smart sometimes) and knit both mitts other than thumbs then realized while picking up for the thumb they were just too tight and small. So I ripped back to the ribbing (which was still good) and added 4 more stitches to increase the saddle, and also designed a thumb gusset to add some extra room there. I’ll post the chart I made for that once I’ve knit the thumb to make sure it works.

I had decided from the beginning to change out the text saying Totoro for a graphic pattern since I like how simple and clean that looks.

I’m planning to do a saddle closure at the top and keep the pattern I have on the saddle going.

Saddle closure didn’t work. Instead worked last round in contrast color and then used kitchener.

Have uploaded charts - obviously I used the original design very heavily, the main changes are the bottom border, edging, and rounding out the umbrella more to give more room for fingers. Also adding the thumb gusset and then shortening the thumb pattern to match.
