This shawl will be too warm for summer, but I’m glad I’ve finished it now and saving it for fall. Putting on this lovely shawl will make my grocery shopping routine more exciting, I hope.

I used size 5 needles to knit the body, size 4 for the first half of the ruffle and size 6 for the second half. Binding off with size 7 needles on the wrong side.

I added the ruffle all the way around, but didn’t join the yarn so that I didn’t have to purl, then I seamed two ends together. To increase stitches, I did “k1, k1fb” instead of “k2, k1fb”.

One skein of Pasmina plus a bit of the second skein are needed for the body and almost two skeins are for the ruffle. I alternated these two skeins when there was about 1/4 of the second skein left.

Washed it with SOAK and laid flat to dry. It’s measured 51” X 28” from ruffle to ruffle.
